Following is a general description of the procedures we also offer, having in mind that we persuade long term relationships with our customers


LSyM is in charge of integrating the subsystems and installing them at customer facilities. Our designs are based on modularity and simplicity, so their installation is straightforward. It is a plug and play procedure since we use components of the shelf.

Our installation procedures try to minimize the cables required to interconnect the simulator subsystems, thus even the computer is embedded inside the simulator structure when the motion platform allows that. Sound, device and video cables are routed inside the structure of the simulator

Once the simulator has been installed, a set of tests should be done and approved by the customer in order to demonstrate the total correctness of the system. The customer should get the confidence that everything works ok. Defining these tests is not an easy task, since they have to be very complete, but in the same way they should in turn be clearly framed. Some previous meeting will be done in order to define the different levels of incorrect functionalities and the way and time they will be resolved.

Customer Support

From LSyM we know that simulators are very complex systems and therefore they are not perfect, so the most important is to stablish agile procedures for supporting the customer and correct the errors detected in the system.

We ensure our services for a minimum term of twelve month and we guarantee that during that period we will made the necessary repairs free of charge. We offer a complete maintenance service, since we develop the 100% of the simulator, both in the software and in the hardware side.

We provide complete support for everything. This is one of our strengths. Usually the support is mainly done in real-time by mean of skype videoconferences but we also stablish remote connections to the customer computers.

Additionally we provide a web tool to report errors or for suggesting new functionalities or enhancements. This tool allow following the state of every ticket in real time.


A complete set of manuals is delivered with every simulator. The manuals are not only intended to the final user but also to the system administrators and to the technicians in charge of making de first step maintenance procedures

  • The user manual describes every exercise and the variables and parameters of the evaluation reports that is generated.
  • The system administrator manual describes mainly the procedures that have to be done in order to successfully operate the simulator. Mainly a set of instructions is given for configuring: System controls, Users, Machine configuration parameter and Virtual classes.
  • The maintenance manual describes the most important failures that can be raised in the simulator and how to resolve them. It also includes the part list of the simulator components and some electrical diagrams showing the internal connections of the simulator controls.

Upgrades and Customizations

We do not develop simulators. Instead, we develop training systems where the instructional design and the evaluation subsystem play an important role in the learning process.

Additionally it is worth mentioning that we are experts in software training developments, but not in training. We know that, thus since the first moment we are willing to upgrade our training systems in order to fit them to the customers’ requirements. Therefore the customer can modify the existing simulators and also can upgrade them in several ways:

  • Using new simulation technology that enhances the simulator presence (quality according to real life). This applies both hardware and software
  • Modifying current simulators to include new exercises and new evaluation reports. In this sense we can replicate industry certification practical tests according to CPCS specifications and deliver corresponding assessments of student performance.
  • Modifying current simulated machines to adapt them to the new models available in the market
  • Developing new simulators and adapting them to the current hardware by means of providing new control modules
  • Developing new functionalities, like a remote instructor desk, collaborative simulation, stereoscopic vision, exercise editor, etc.
  • Integrating new hardware in order to build additional trainers, based on low cost devices. This is an option that we have demonstrated it gives very good results.

Training services

We provide training courses for instructors and also for system operators and maintenance engineers. This courses take place at customer facilities, but however we also accept visits and stays in our laboratories in the case the client want to receive more specific and depth instruction.

The training program will enable the local staff to:

  • Operate all systems and resources available properly and securely;
  • Train the Trainers in all software features including the operation of scenarios with different degrees of difficulty
  • Provide complete training for trainers and supervisors.
